11-inch puma

I am sharing my studio with a very small, not-very-ferocious cat. And I'm mad about her.

I sing her songs, made her special food treats with yeast and wheat germ. I get up early so I'll have more time to pet her and play with the noodle toy. Last week I bought her a bird picture for over her food bowl. When i go to work I hide treats around the house, including dessicated fish filets that she can find when she's along, prowling the shelves and levels of h er cat tree. It's hard to leave her all day, and I frequently miss her when I'm at work. She's just so cute, you see. And fluffy. And smart. (My mom's rolling her eyes right now.) And ingenious and lithe.

She can have more fun with a stick and a bag than any person I've ever met. Good kitty.

My mom came out to San Francisco for a visit two weeks ago. We spent the better part of a week shopping and eating. It was a delightful way to spend my time between jobs, and I got a good many things, like a fabulous new McKroskey mattress, that will make my life oh so much better. My mom bought me the best pillow in the world -- feather and it cradles your head.

I've been at Adobe for a week and two days now and I like it. People are nice, normal in a hip, creative sort of way. Doesn't seem like a lot of bullshit or politics. Then again, it's only been a week. The location is more interesting than I expected, and even taking the CalTrain to SJ was fun. Like a rail adventure, you know, through Silicon Valley.
